What AI means in Sports & Hospitality

3 capabilities the module produces.

  • Performance & operations analytics

AI applied to player, team, venue, and operational performance data. Translate model output into decisions a coach or operations head will act on.

  • Vision AI for movement & occupancy

Pose estimation, tracking, and event detection in sport and hospitality settings — with a clear view of privacy and DPDP implications.

  • Demand forecasting

AI-driven forecasting models for hospitality operations: bookings, staffing, F&B, dynamic pricing — calibrated, not overfit.

Industry context

Sports analytics in India is professionalising fast (IPL, ISL, kabaddi leagues), and hospitality is under sustained margin pressure. Graduates who can translate AI output into operational decisions, not just dashboards, are the differentiator.

Student outcomes

  • Build a forecasting model for a real venue or team operations question
  • Apply vision AI to a movement or occupancy problem and defend the privacy stance
  • Translate a model output into a one-page recommendation for a non-technical operator
  • Articulate where AI helps and where coaching judgement still wins
